Amazon’s Kindle 2 Trumps Sony’s Reader
The new Kindle 2 reader from Amazon leapfrogged the Sony reader, allowing people to download and read books, magazines and newspapers from the Internet without a computer.
This second generation reader allows you to view illustrations and uses less power than the Sony.
Amazon claims there are more than 285,000 books available for the Kindle plus all the major newspapers, magazines and blogs. Most books, including 109 from the New York Times Best Seller List can be downloaded for $9.99 each.
The Kindle 2 will set you back between $350 and $490 depending on memory and options like text-to-speech...but just think of all the space you’ll save on those bookshelves!
